에디터는 국내 STM 출판 시장의 이해를 바탕으로 국내외 세미나에서 Open Access의 소개와 안내를 통해 학계 및 저자들과 지속적이고 긴밀한 관계 유지하는 한편, 출판기획 및 계약체결과 지원업무를 담당하고 있습니다.
BioMed Central and SpringerOpen are expanding their presence in Korea. This new role will have responsibility for growing the list of open access journals from Korea published by BioMed Central and SpringerOpen and developing them to be important publications in their fields. This will involve understanding the characteristics of the Korean STM publishing market, identifying opportunities for journals which might launch or transfer to the BioMed Central and SpringerOpen platforms and negotiating with Editors and Owners to agree publishing contracts with them. The postholder will also be expected to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with Editors-in Chief, Editorial Board members, society representatives and other contacts located in Korea, and to give presentations or otherwise contribute to conferences or similar events with the aim of increasing awareness of open access, and BioMed Central’s and SpringerOpen’s services among Korean scientists and learned societies
The role requires close liaison with departments throughout BioMed Central and Springer, located in London, New York, Dordrecht and Heidelberg.

• Identifying and acquiring new or transfer journals within Korea.
• Working with BioMed Central’s and Springer’s journal development and marketing teams to maximise revenue for the journals based in Korea, and to increase high quality submissions emanating from the region
• Excellent relationship building with Editors, Editorial Boards and Societies
• Profile raising activities in Korea, for example contributing to discussions, projects of importance, presentations at conferences
• Keeping up to date with developments in Korea which affect scientific communication. Understanding the changing needs of researchers and representing their needs to ensure that BioMed Central and Springer are able to fulfil those needs.
• Identifying and realizing potential new business relationships and partnerships
• Fostering excellent relationships and team working within BioMed Central and Springer.
자격요건
• 생명과학 또는 의학 전공 석사 학위자
• STM 온라인 저널 출판 및 오픈 엑세스 출판의 이해
• 영어 및 MS office 능통자
• 뛰어난 커뮤니케이션 및 프레젠테이션 능력

• Master’s degree in a life sciences or medical topic
• Demonstrableunderstanding of STM online journal publishing, andopen access publishing
• Fluency in English and Korean.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, comfortable operating at a senior level with academics and representatives of learned societies, and representing BioMed Central and Springer at external events.
• Willingness and ability to travel
• Able to work independently as well as effectively with remote colleagues.
